This timeless pattern, introduced in 1851, features vibrant peony blossoms and butterflies rendered on fine porcelain. With a diameter of 25.5 cm (10"), the plate’s snow-white surface is adorned with a vivid arrangement of butterflies and flowering branches, bordered by an elegant gilded trim evocative of lush meadows. Celebrated as one of Herend Porcelain Manufactory’s oldest and most distinguished designs, the pattern earned international acclaim after winning first prize at the 1851 London World Exhibition and was famously commissioned by Queen Victoria herself for her royal tableware.
