Royal Warrants and Commissions
For over 180 Years, We've Been Honoured to Serve the Finest.
Royal Warrants
A mark of recognition for supplying goods or services to the British Royal Household – is a tremendous honour. Here at Thomas Goode, that honour is doubled, as we hold not one, but two Royal Warrants, bestowed upon us by Her Majesty The Queen and His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales (now King of England).
Since 1827, our store in the heart of London's Mayfair has been a

Our historic red-brick building, with its ornate details, hints at the exquisite craftsmanship and opulent treasures that have been admired by many Royal Households across Europe. We've always been deeply committed to nurturing the best of British craftsmanship, maintaining longstanding relationships with centuries-old potteries in Stoke-on Trent.

The success of Thomas Goode can be largely attributed to William Goode's enterprising spirit. Throughout the mid-nineteenth century, he tirelessly travelled the world, searching for the finest porcelain and bone china designs. He also fostered a tradition of personalized service for Europe's most prestigious families, establishing a clientele that remains discerning to this day.

"The piece has been made after surmounting manufacturing difficulties, and the engraving thereon is the finest it has been possible to obtain."
This engraved two-handled cup and cover was crafted to commemorate the 1937 coronation of Edward VIII. The shallow bowl, adorned with scrolled handles, is inscribed with significant dates and a rhymed inscription. The hollow knop stem encloses a coin and rests on a square foot engraved with lion masks, symbolizing War and Peace, along with inscriptions and national flowers. The underside is marked as number 38 of 42. The cover, topped with a crown finial, is engraved with Edward VIII’s crowned cypher, as well as the crowned regnal names and coronation dates of his name sake predecessors.
One of our most loyal customers and greatest admirers, Sir Elton John, has become not only a co-owner but also a global ambassador for the brand. As he aptly says, "There's no shop like this in the world." We couldn't agree more.
