A treasure trove of historic and contemporary patterns that are both historically and commercially significant, an invaluable design resource and a truly inspiring place to visit.
Since 1827, our store in the heart of London's Mayfair has been a
destination for those seeking the finest china, glass, and silverware in the world. Our historic red-brick building, with its ornate details, hints at the exquisite craftsmanship and opulent treasures that have been admired by many Royal Households across Europe. We've always been deeply committed to nurturing the best of British craftsmanship, maintaining longstanding relationships with centuries-old potteries in Stoke-on Trent.
The collection features several notable pieces, including a dinner service for Tsar Nicholas II, inspired by a Sèvres pattern originally created for Catherine the Great, and a service for Empress Catherine II of Russia. Other highlights include a miniature tea set commissioned by Queen Mary for her dollhouse, and a fascinating 1930s version of a French counter-revolutionary "puzzle plate," which cleverly conceals the silhouette of Louis XVI. The museum also showcases a dinner service from the wedding of HRH Prince Charles and Princess Diana, as well as stunning bespoke commissions, including those for fashion designer Gianni Versace.
