1882 Ltd is a design-led British ceramics brand based in Stoke-on-Trent, the historic heart of the English pottery industry. It was established in 2011 by Emily Johnson and her father Christopher, the fifth and fourth generations of the Johnson Brothers pottery family, whose firm began producing ceramics in Stoke in 1882 and gave the company its name. The brand pairs contemporary design with industrial craft skill, commissioning collections from leading designers and artists including Bethan Gray, Max Lamb and Faye Toogood, and produces its fine bone china in England.
